For groups of 5+ cyclists, we recommend cellar door, restaurant or café dining reservations are made in advance. This will assist on-site staff to provide you with an enjoyable experience during busy periods.
All children riders (17yrs and under) are to be closely supervised by a known adult, parent or caregiver responsible for their group’s safety and behaviour.
At our depot rate
- Standard Bike – $50.00 per person.
- Tandem Bike – $100.00 (2 people) per day.
- Children / teen bikes – 12-17yrs – $20.00 per day.
- Children bikes – 11yrs and under – Free per day (we do not have bikes with training wheels).
- Child / toddler seats on adult bikes – Free per day (suitable for 2-5yr olds).
- Child trail-a-long cycling attachment to an adult bike – Free per day (suitable for 5-8yr olds).
- Children’s covered trailer attached to an adult bike – Free per day – suitable to carry two children aged 2-6yrs old.
- We have limited children and toddler sized helmets. If able, we recommend you bring your own child seat (for the covered trailer) and helmets to avoid disappointment.
- Guests staying for 2+ consecutive nights at The Olde Mill House Bed & Breakfast receive complimentary bicycles. Single night stays on request receive 50% discount per bicycle/person.
- We welcome Visa and Mastercard (please note, a 2.5% surcharge applies for eftpos and credit / debit cards on payment). Surcharge will not apply to internet banking, please contact us via email for the details.
Pick-up & Return Service Rate (including bicycle hire)
For your comfort and safety we also offer a pick-up and return service within 12km from our premises at 9 Wilson Street, Renwick 7204.
Due to seasonal demand, we cannot provide half day rates or services.
- Minimum 2 people per reservation for full day hire – book early as seats are limited.
- Standard Bike – $60.00 per person
- Tandems – $120.00 (2 people) per day

- Unfortunately, we cannot provide a shuttle service for families with children who need child or booster seats installed in our vehicles due to the limited seats available, and the safety and legal risks if the seat is not correctly fitted. We welcome families with young children to visit our depot to ensure the right sized bicycle and helmet is available.

Picton, Rarangi, Tuamarina, Wairau Bar, Wairau Diversion, Wairau Valley Township, Taylor Dam Reserve, Riverlands Road House, Kiwi Camp, Havelock, Onamalutu Campsite and all DOC campsites.
